Disney to open American Idol attraction

The company that promotes its theme parks as the place where dreams come true soon will provide amateur singers with the chance to fulfill their dream.
An American Idol-themed attraction will open at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., in late 2008, the Orlando Business Journal has learned.

The attraction will allow guests to participate in an American Idol contest. The audition process will be open to all park guests who register. Participants will perform in front of a Disney's Hollywood Studios producer. Guest performers then will work backstage with a vocal coach and hair and make-up stylist before performing in front of an audience and a panel of judges.
